| It's now been 10 days since they poured the slab in the basement, and nothing has been done since. May is only a week away. Seems like it will be a challenge for them to finish this house on schedule only working a couple of days every two weeks. The holdup now is waterproofing the basement walls, and it needs to be dry for a while for them to do that. Rain on Monday and Tuesday of last week put a stop to that procedure. It rained again Friday night, but with a lot of sun and wind since, it is now about as dry as it typically gets for April. Once they get the waterproofing done, framing will be the next step. That of course will be a dramatic change. It's Monday now, and the biggest chance of rain here through the weekend is 30% on Thursday. Of course that may change many times before then. Fingers crossed we can get going again soon. |
